More Completed Paranormal Investigations in Wisconsin and Illinois...

The Hiram B. Scutt Mansion, Joliet, Illinois 2008
On September 6, 2008, 20 friends and associates of Kenosha Paranormal made the trip to "The Scutt Mansion" in Joliet, IL to have a night time guided tour of this fine victorian era mansion circa 1882. This remarkable example of Italianate architecture was built with Philadelphia bricks, and is believed, by many, to be haunted. There are stories related to this site about a woman dressed in dark clothing, and another one revolving around a ghostly mob of people that walk through the street, in front of the mansion. This tour provided by Ed Shanahan, of Haunted Historic Locations and the property owner himself. Our donations went directly to the restoration fund for this mansion, and was enjoyed by all who attended that night.
Private Residence Investigation - Kenosha, Wisconsin
When: July 20, 2008 @ 11:00 p.m.
Weather: 70 degrees & humid:
Reason for the investigation: We were contacted via telephone and email from a resident in Kenosha whose home has reported paranormal activity. The list of phenomena experienced by the family include: someone "invisible" who walks up and down the basement stairs and through the main level foyer late at night, lights turning on and in some cases staying on to the point where the homeowner had to go turn them off, a window that has opened up half-way after being closed and locked up tight for the night, a reported apparition on an older male who has made an appearance in two of the bedrooms in the house. The family wanted to contact a priest to have the home blessed, but decided to call a group in before the home was blessed, to see if any activity could be documented.
The footage collected produced a couple of things which could not be explained. The ending result of the evening's investigation, however, remains inconclusive. Further investigation is needed to definately determine whether the residence is haunted. Other details are to remain confidential, out of respect to the family involved.
*Note - After our investigation, the home was indeed blessed by a priest, but unfortunately, that same night, activity resumed right away. An unseen presence spoke loudly to the client's fiance, and said to him "What are you doing?".

On May 31, 2008, friends and associates of Kenosha Paranormal visited the infamously haunted Bachelor's Grove. Unfortunately, no paranormal evidence was collected by anyone on this day. The trip was enjoyed by all involved.

The Mysterious Tombstone Project
When: October 16th, 2007 @ 7:00 p.m. (Kenosha, Wisconsin)
Weather: Cool, humid, still, in the mid 60's.
Reason for the investigation: While excavating their backyard for a nursery, a couple found a fully intact headstone of a 22-year old woman buried a few inches under the ground dating back to 1902. Also found on the property was possible evidence of other markers. Property records did show that the family owned and lived on the property around the turn of the century until the late 1960's, but the exact name of the person listed on the headstone could not be found in any property, internet or library researches. The only paranormal experiences the couple reported was seeing the ghost of one of their deceased pet cats, who's also buried in the backyard, walking across the kitchen floor. During our investigation, nothing out of the ordinary was recorded or experienced.

Friday the 13th Ghost Walk
When: Friday, July 13, 2007 (Kenosha, Wisconsin)
Weather: Cool and calm.
Reason for the investigation: Up until the last minute we were hoping to obtain the proper permissions to conduct a ghost hunt in a well known haunted cemetery in the surrounding area, but were unable to obtain such permissions, nor have they ever replied up to the date of this report. This was our group's plan B for the night. If anything else, just wanted to take a walk and maybe get some good photos. Mission was accomplished, it turned out to be fun.

St. Scholastica Cemetery
When: June 2, 2007 @ 11:30 p.m.

When we explained to him who we were and what we were trying to do, he asked just to move our car so he could get out, and said that we may carry on. Nice guy.
